General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A delay in the menstruation indicates a need for a urinary pregnancy test. Every time a woman has is missing her period this is the first thing to rule out.
Oral contraception offers a high protection rate against pregnancy but this is not 100%, there are cases patients may conceive even if they use them regularly.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,

Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
