Suggest An Effective Alternative For Urinary Catheterization

I have been using catheters 3 times a day, for my neurogenic bladder for almost 6 years, I would like to know if there is something new, a new drug, a surgery, a chip, or else to get rid of the catheters. I remember 6 years ago that using betanechol I was able to empty my bladder but I got afraid of hurting my kidneys. My glomerular filtration is around 55 to 60. Thanks Reinaldo Lopez

Well it depends on cause of bladder dysfunction. In some cases, urostoma can be formed to derivate urine from bladder. if there is problem in bladder muscles then some medications may be helpful to treat it. also, electrostimulation may be performed for bladder tonus.
