Suggest An Effective Dosage Of Ceftriaxone For Urine Infections In Eldelry

Hi I am again suffering from a urine infection overnight. I have nitrofurantoin but when I look up the dosage it is for cystitis but I suffer from urine infections being an old lady? of 75. Please advise me on dosage as trying to see a doctor in my surgery is hopeless.

Hi..warm regards to you and welcome HCM. I understand your concern. You yourself don't go for ceftriaxone. First of all, go for certain lab investigations, go for TLC count, urine routine examination, urine for culture sensitivity . Then after reports, it will be decided which antibiotic has to be taken with what dose.
