Suggest An Ideal Diet To Be Adopted During Hair-loss Treatment
Hello Doctor I am Saravanakumar, 27 year old unmarried male and am working in Saudi Arabia. I had taken hair loss treatment and based doctor advice I am taking below medicines from 12 May 2016 onwards regularly. Minoxidil gel 5% - twice per day (10 am & 8 pm) Azelaic acid cream 20% - twice per day Revilus hair supplement soflets – 1 per day @ night Finabald 1mg - 1 per day @ night K-shine - twice per week Scalp itching: Triben B lotion – twice per day (6 am & 3 pm) Doctor had asked me to continue this for 6 months. Please advice the next course of action and I have read the article in internet about finabald tablet side effect (reduction in sexual) and that was made little bit afraid to use finabald tablets because I will going to get married on next year. Regularly I am doing gym workouts including running at evening time. Queries: 1) Please let me know whether finabald 1mg is a safe medicine without side effects for long term. 2) I have little itching scalp, can I continue Triben- B lotion? 3) Is any food restriction while taking hair loss treatment? Because I had felt itching when I had Egg & oil foods.
Finabald is used for treatment of androgenic alopecia. Yes, you are right. The major drawback of Finabald is side effect on sexual function. The effects may be difficulty in erection, problem with ejaculation and loss of sexual drive. But these side effects are temporary and seen in early stage of treatment and persons using it recover after stoppage of Finabald or while continuing use of the drug over a period of time. Also side effects are not seen in all patients. It is seen in few patients. There is no food restriction. Advice 1. Continue Finbald and other medicines suggested by your doctor 2. You can use Triben B lotion for scalp itching 3. Consume high protein diet such as meat, cheese, dairy products pulses and vegetables. If you are allergic to any food then avoid it 4. Do not take much tension as anxiety/depression aggravates hair loss Thanks
