Suggest And Alternative Medication For Coreg Causing Erectile Dysfunction
I am taking coreg 6.25 mg twice daily but am experiencing a side effect of inability to get or maintain an erection. I have had this situation one other time with a beta-blocker. Is there an product similar to coreg that is not a beta blocker and would be effective as coreg is?
Since you are taking Coreg, you are suggested to get your heart clinically examined by a Cardiologist to rule out any developing coronary artery disease. You are suffering from ED, if obese lose weight. Take home-made balanced food. Going forward, refined flour, trans fat, high fat dairy products, and red meat need to be avoided. Take fruits, dry fruits and vegetables.
Medicines like Sildenafil, Tadalafil, and Vardenafil are commonly prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction. They have side effects but at the same time they are effective. Psychological counselling, exercises are helpful. vacuum erection pipes are helpful. If the symptoms do not respond to the treatment being given, the treating doctor may recommend surgery for penile implants, etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
