Im having problems with Yeast Infections for the past 9 months now i have gone to the Dr each time maybe twice a month and gotten treatment for it then it comes back two weeks later I have noticed it comes back right after intercourse, My husband has already gone to get treatment yet i am still having this issue i am currently pregnant and my Ob has also given me medication for it but it only helps for a little then a week or two later i start itching down there again and then the discharge comes back along with the pain and swelling I m so frustrated I had never dealt with any yeast infections prior to this on and off now I don t know what to do anymore.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Repeated yeast infection indicates underlying immune compromise status secondary to either pregnancy, lack of nutrients , diabetes or else.

* If the partner therapy is not completed, then also one may have to face similar attacks on & off through sexual intercourse.

* Treatment consists of culture swab report, vaginal hygiene, abstinence from sex and supportive care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
