Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking Lovan for several years, but was changed to Lexapro a month ago as I believe that Lovan lowers the efficacy of Tamoxifan which I need to take for the next five years since having breast cancers Since taking Lexapro I am constantly hungry, craving rubbish food and have increased my weight by a kilo. Can you recommend an alternative anti depressant please. Would St Johns Wort do the job? YYYY@YYYY
as you mentioned about the breast cancer and increase in appetite, I will advice you to perform meditation, breathing exercises and general exercises. as there is a chance that you will have an increases appetite by performing the exercises you can burn some calories and keep the bodys weight to optimum. having an anti-depressant drug will increase your sleep and later on again increase your body weight. I will advice to do regular meditation, breathing exercises and general exercises which will help you fight against the increasing weight.
Also, exercises will help improve the metabolic function of the cells and that will help detoxify your body.
with the grace of God I wish you a speedy recovery.
