Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI gd morning doctor, I am suffering from dry cough. actually during ganpati visarjan some gulal went into my nose and after 3 days I started coughing. There was no cold cough and even no headache. 2 years before also I suffered the same persistent dry cough. AT that time my doctor prescribed me foracort200. I dont have any history of asthma. Is there any ayurvedic remedy for this.
As per your query you have symptoms of dry cough which seems to be due to chest infection/ chronic upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. You should take cough expectorants.
You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with anti-allergic medication. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get chest X-ray done and start treatment after proper diagnosis have been made.
I think you should take proper preventive methods first rather than any mode of treatment as it will resolve that ways. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari,
