Suggest Cause And Remedy For Runny Nose With Green Mucus In Toddlers
Hi my 2 year old son has had a runny nose with thick green snot coming out constantly. He sleeps through the whole night, he's happy, playful, in a good mood, just constantly with this thick green runny nose for a month now. What could it be? A change in weather or an infection?
Understanding your concern. As per your query runny nose with green mucus in toddler seems to be due to streptococcal infection. It could be due to weather change. i would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for blood sand sputum test to rule out any systemic pathology. Till then give child steam inhalation. You should give DayQuil and advilcold to your child. Use mist humidifiers in room. Your child's symptoms will resolve in one week. If symptoms keeps on persisting start proper medication. Give child plenty of fluids to rehydrate. Take proper course of antibiotics as well. Avoid giving any cold beverage to child.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
