Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain under my buttocks and up into my groin, along the inside of my thigh - on each leg. Any idea what this could be? It feels like a pulled muscle typically feels, but it has been ongoing now for over 4 weeks. I have had muscle pulls before and they typically heal faster than this.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. Muscle pull is generally caused due to over-stretching of muscles. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks to heal completely. You can overcome muscle pull by doing the following. 1. Apply ice packs over the area for about 10 to 15 minutes twice daily. 2. Take analgesic with muscle relaxant like Tablet. Diclofenac sodium with Cholroxazone twice daily after food. 3. Apply Topical analgesic gel as thin layer over the affected part at bedtime. 4. Avoid doing strenuous work involving that part of the body and give adequate rest. Gradually, your condition should improve and would be better. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
