Suggest Cause For Breathing Problems In Autoimmune Patients
Hi, I often have a lot of difficulty breathing during normal conversation, which also makes my throat dry. I feel a lot of chest compression, and both the heavy weight on my chest and the difficulty breathing get worse when lying down. I m a 20 year old female with a suspected autoimmune problem the doctors can t figure out. Any thoughts?

Suggest Cause For Breathing Problems In Autoimmune Patients
Hello Thanks for asking a question at HCM I m here to help you with the answer The most common cause of breathing trouble in autoimmune patients is costochondritis, which is the inflammation of rib cartilage. It can be anything that can involve lungs directly, but what I mentioned is the common cause. You should seek the help of NSAIDs, or anti rheumatic drugs, mild steroids to control the inflammation. The best thing I can suggest is Physiotherapy, breathing exercises and and regular exercise suggested by physiotherapist. Hope this helps Best Regards Dr Chaithanya
