Hi Doctor,I had fracture on my right leg(centre of Tibia) and had operated with a plate one half year back. Now the healing all ok eventhough I have minor pains also and now i am facing the new issue like, in my bottom of the leg(between ankle join and foot), I have feel like loose kind of(compare to left leg) and difficulty to walk also.Could you please tell me what is the rootcause for that and is it curable?Thanks,Raja
As per your age and history there is possibility of soft tissue injury in knee. Most commonly meniscus injury occurs.
As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion . If pain persist then you may need to do MRI again to see for any functional defect.
Small meniscus tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG and TENS. Meniscus injury can be managed by arthroscopic repair,and same day you can go home. It could be Achilles tendinitis . it can occur post trauma, due to use hard soles footwear, can be a degenerative or age related problem. Physiotherapy,pain killers, some rest, Platelet rich plasma therapy, steroid injection etc various modalities are there to treat your pain
