Suggest Cause For Leg Pain With Bp 280
My brother is 63, has pain in his legs when he walks just a small distance. He says his blood pressure is 280 or 300 over 150+. He also does not know his cholesterol levels at all.
He has no inusarance, if I take him to the ER, are they going to put him in the hospital?

The normal blood pressure of a healthy person is 120/ 80 mm of Hg.
Slight elevation of blood pressure is natural as age advance .
But in your brother case it is 280 -300 , it is so high and dangerous .
Definitely hospital will admit the patient if he has so high level if B P .
This type of blood pressure is known as malignant hyper tension and this is a cause of concern and life threatening . So at once admit your brother in hospital.
