Suggest Cause For Presence Of Protein Plus1 In The Urine

hi, today a young male client with no other abnormal results during a pre employment health screen had protein plus1 in his urine. He is training 4 times per week and takes protein supplements. Is his body just excreting unutilised protein or is there any other possibilty?. No history of kidney problms. blood pressure within normal limits?. Thank you.Anne. Ireland

Hi Anne!
People who take a lot of protein supplements, such as whey protein powder, may see this. Why is this? Well, if your body is not breaking down these proteins efficiently, the protein is usually expelled from your body in your urine. No history of kidney problms. blood pressure within normal limits ,no pus cells in urine means his body just excreting unutilised protein .
