shooting pains in back of head hi ive experienced shooting pains at the back of my head from the neck upwards, they last about 3-5 seconds and come randomly, i will get about 5 when it happens this has been going on for 2 weeks, should i be worried?
These are classical nerve entrapment symptoms, stress / overwork being the usual reason ( i know you may not have these).
Get a good sleep, anxiolytic - hobbies, rest, tablets if required.
Local application by heat or a rubrafacient ointments ( which irritate the skin and increase local temperature ) all work by relaxing the muscles of the neck . \
