Suggest Cause For Random Pain In Back Of Head

shooting pains in back of head
hi ive experienced shooting pains at the back of my head from the neck upwards, they last about 3-5 seconds and come randomly, i will get about 5 when it happens this has been going on for 2 weeks, should i be worried?

HI. There is nothing to worry.

These are classical nerve entrapment symptoms, stress / overwork being the usual reason ( i know you may not have these).

Get a good sleep, anxiolytic - hobbies, rest, tablets if required.

Local application by heat or a rubrafacient ointments ( which irritate the skin and increase local temperature ) all work by relaxing the muscles of the neck .
