Both ears are equally red and have been since Sunday. I called my pediatrician, she is out of town. I got a very generic, not concerned, just watch it answer from another Doctor...that I m not satisfied with. He s not been rubbing them. The inner ear canal area does not look inflamed... One ear has a little blister/pimple in it. any suggestions???

Hello,

It may be due to otitis externa infection.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

Heating pads also helps.

You may require antibiotics after ENT consultation.

Maintain proper hygiene

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
