Hi I am 49 years old I had very old acne scars on my side temple both right and left.I had laser surgery done last year and had used lomela cream for 2-3 months.
Some light scars are still visible. I have been advised to use Glycon 6 , Glycon A or Olliza gel to reduce these scars further . Kindly advise.
I completely understand your coencern for old acne scars.
As I can get your age is 49 years so accordingly you have been provided with very good treatment with glycolic acid creams and related gels.
Glycolic acid re-modulates the skin texture and is therefore helpful in reducing the scars.
Additionally in your kind of situation I suggest my patients to apply Retinoic acid or tretinoin cream. This is to be started in low percentage and then can be increased in strength according to the adjustment with the skin.
Treinoin induces the collagen formation and is quite helpful in improving the scar texture. Take further guidance from your treating dermatologist.
All the best.
