Hi. My name is Monica. My brother Lee, has contracted MRSA. It's in his nose, throat, gums, and glands. The Dr.'s told him that if it made it to his eyes... he was done for. OK.... conincidince or not? 6 months ago, his wife contracted it on her panty line. A little over 6 months before that... his son contracted it at the top of his butt crack. Both required surgery to remove tissue. They have a cat also.... could this be playing a part in any of this?
Hi thanks for asking question in HCM. The staphylococci bacteria can live in environment for long duration. It is very much prevalant in atmosphere sourrounding of us. This infection also common in cat.Animal ti animal transmission much common. But incidently it can be transmitted from cat to human also. So you might acquire it from cat.But chances of its spread to you from community cannot be ignored! Better to look your cat for conjuctivitis, upper respiratory infection etc by veternity doctor. I hope i have solve your query.
