I was diagnosed with trickamonas on 07/29/10 and was prescribed metronidazole for me and my husband. We both took 4 pills in the morning and 4 pills that night. My doctor stated that after we took the medicine we could have sex again. On sunday 08/01 I didn't have any odor or discharge all week. On 8/6 me and my husband had sex again but this time there was an odor again, today Sat. 8/7 I have a discharge again with an odor and burning. I called my doctor to see if I needed to be tested again and he said no to call the office on Monday and he will give me some medicine for Bacterial vaginitis. Should we have waited to have sex? Should I consult with another doctor to see if I have it again?
