As per my clinical experience, the narrated symptoms of lower back pain with radiation to lower leg and activity restriction is suggestive of sciatica due to nerve compression at L 3 and L 4 vertebra levels. Primary concern would be: - Assisted physiotherapy - Postural adaptations and maneuvers - Control of body weight if BMI above 25 - Steroid shots if severe pain - Analgesic and anti inflammatory medicines - Regular physician visit for follow up
Later on depending upon the recovery, surgery may or may not be required for nerve decompression through stereo-tactic approach.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
