Hey, I am a 27 year old house wife.I noticed lumps in my breasts when I was 20-21, I consulted an oncologist who said they were nothing to worry about and gave me food supplements which got rid of the lumps in just a few weeks. But the lumps keep coming back. I consulted another doctor who also said they were not cancerous. But these lumps keep coming back. Why is that so?
Hi As most of the doctors are considering it benign i guess it is fibroadenoma. fibroadenoma is a non-cancerous tumor in the breast that is commonly found in women under the age of 30. The tumor consists of breast tissue and connective (stromal) tissue. The exact cause of fibroadenomas is not known. Hormones such as estrogen may play a part in the growth and development of the tumors. However a A fine needle aspiration or biopsy should be performed to rule out the exact nature of lump.
