Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So I woke up this morning and found my hearing hearing in my left ear very muffled I didn't think much of it simply went to get a q tip to clean it I found a lot of blood on the q tip and my hearing in my left ear still remains muffled I wouldn't say there's any real pain do I need to see a doctor or just but some ear drops I'm really hoping to avoid the doctor as I have no insurance
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain muffled hearing along with blood in ear can be due to Traumatic injury to the ear, perforation of ear drum, otitis media, head injury, foreign body inside ear etc..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get a thorough evaluation done and he can do an otoscopic examination to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms and treat you accordingly..
As of now avoid putting q-tip inside the ear to prevent injury which can further cause injury .. You can take decongestant nasal spray..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
