I understand your concern.Let me try and help.
You seem to be having an infection probably an
abscess.
The
throbbing pain is due to the pus collection.
So the best thing to do would be to visit a clinic where a general physician
would let out the pus,clean and dress the wound and prescribe a course of antibiotics( according to your pus culture) along with analgesics if necessary.
Even if you were to stay at home you would still need a course of antibiotics
such as
co-amoxiclav which is a prescription medicine.
Another thing I would like to point out is if you are still breast feeding your baby ,you might want to be careful about which medications you take.
You can use painkillers such as
Paracetamol 500 mg three times a day for pain or
fever , but you will get complete relief only if the pus is released from the site of the wound.
So my advice is still to consult a GP in your area.
