Hello,
Not all vaccinations have side effects on everybody, however, it may have side effects on someone with sensitive skin or on one who has low immunity. Manage your hygiene well, take bath regularly with the soap that best suits your skin. It is better to use a medicated soap. You should wear soft cotton clothes that are loose fitting & change it daily. Get your clothes, bed cover and bedding washed in hot water and dried in the sun. Disinfect it.
Get your room cleaned up, change the mattress of your bed, change the curtains, get the walls painted fresh. Do not share your toiletries with anyone. To avoid itching, you can apply
hydrocortisone cream on the areas affected. Take antihistamine at bedtime, to reduce symptoms of
allergy. Do not touch, scratch or pick. Keep your skin moist, apply water-based body lotion or lacto-
calamine cream/lotion on your skin.
Dry skin also triggers
skin rash. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
Avoid taking food (fishes, sea food, etc.) that triggers rashes, avoid going in pollutant areas. Stay away from animal dander, spores, poison ivy, dusty areas to avoid recurrence of the rashes. Get yourself clinically examined by a
dermatologist, get skin test, blood tests, STD tests, if required
skin biopsy done to detect any medical condition that is causing you symptoms
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
