Im 21/male. For the past couple of days i have had a sore throat and today i noticed my tongue was a bit swollen and that the 1 of the veins that runs up the underside of my tongue is painful and swollen. There are a few small spots around it aswell. But i feel really grotty in my head. Plz advise me.

Nothing to be panic, consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and metronidazole combination( if you are not allergic). Do saline gargling. Regarding the swelling in the floor of the mouth can be because of any stone in the salivary gland duct opening. Nothing worry, you can consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. You need to get a radiograph like occlusal view done to confirm the diagnosis. once the diagnosis is confirmed we can treat accordingly. I hope I have answered your query. Take care.
