However usually a stroke doesn t cause isolated paralysis of only one limb, more often both limbs are involved on the same side. Furthermore if you have had no imaging to say it s a stroke some more info on age, other conditions etc would have been useful because there are other possible causes like multiple sclerosis, brain tumor etc which could cause a paralysis.
