Suggest Diet After Small Bowel Obstruction Surgery
Have had two laparotomy operations-no cancer-just small bowel obstructions. Was put on a low-fiber diet. Last surgery was Jan 2011. Am I to stay on a low fiber diet from now on or gradually go back to a reguler diet? Am 68 years old.

HI Well come to HCM Thank for asking, I really appreciate your concern, with the history of abdominal surgery particularly for obstruction and now as long as the diet is concern light diet can be taken, no spicy food, no heavy meal, but gradually you can of course go for regular diet, if it is every thing went fine then you can go for regular diet hope this information helps.
