your husbands sugars are very high,You didnt mentioned whether he is on
insulin or medicines .Its must for him to follow a good diet and exercise regime being diabetic and also on pacemaker.
1 .He should have small meals 5 times a day
2 .Follow the
carbohydrate exchange ( portion size)
For
diabetes. stick to those quantities dont serve large quantities.
3 .Avoid juices , sweets, carbonated beverages, energy drinks as they increases sugars fast.
4 .serve whole grain cereals like whole wheat breads , brown rice, oats, quinoa as they have low
glycemic index that means they are digested slowly .Always include healthy
proteins (without fat) in each meal .
5 .Avoid starches like potatoes, yams ,refined breads and refined cereals.
6 .Serve lots of raw vegetables in the form of salads they are filling , rich in fibre and helps in controlling hunger and sugars.
7 .Brisk walking or threadmill will be ideal exercise for a duration of 30 minutes daily.
By doing these things he can loose weight also.
