Pls suggest a diet chart for a baby girl one and a half years old Q.... when my daughter was 6 mmonths old we gave her soother....and we thaught this habit will be left in few months time ....but till now she continues taking the soother ...We are trying to make her leave taking soother ....as it is bad for health and the shape of lips is getting aaffected ..now my daughteris one and a hhalf year old ..pls help me out as to how make her leave taking so other ??
The most important risks of this non-nutritive sucking habit are failure of breastfeeding, dental deformities, recurrent acute otitis media (ear infections). Start by giving the pacifier only at bed time.After which, stop at bed time too. Give a cuddly toy instead and use soothing gestures.
Follow your normal sleep routine, putting the baby down in the crib, drowsy but awake, with the pacifier. When sucking slows down, gently remove the pacifier before the baby is completely asleep.
