Suggest Diet Chart To Be Followed For INR Being Low

I m taking coumandin and my inr is low 1.9 my range is2 to 3 . you think if I take lemon water will make my blood goes more thick or not, I stop a lot things when I start to take that , I usually eat vitamin k every day and I stop when I start the Coumadin so plz help me, my inr is low I have to retake my blood next week and they say if still low they will increase my pills but I m scary if I change my diet I would love to back to all my greens salads and juices and I don t know what to do

Hi,

The most important thing in taking Coumadin is to have a fixed diet. It does not mean you cannot have greens or salads at all but you have to know the amount you have daily and keep it constant. It is the same with other food that interact with warfarin such as garlic and ginger, which increase the INR. When you have a constant diet, the doctor adjusts your medication according to your diet.
