Suggest Diet For A Physically Inactive Patient With High BP And Anxiety

My husband is 65 yrs old retired. Since being retired he is not very active anymore and has gained quite a lot of weight, however he doesn t eat much especially fruits and vegetables and not a lot of meat. So my question is what kind of supplement would be best for him.( He also has high blood pressure and anxiety)

Hello,
It would be good for him to use a supplement like Ensure or another balanced supplement drink that would make sure he was getting enough protein and other nutrients. He could drink 2-3 per day. He should also take a multivitamin daily. Talk to his doctor and make sure he does not have diabetes or other metabolic problems. Exercise would be helpful.
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
