General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

A creatinine level of greater than 1.4 for men may be an early sign that the kidneys are not working properly. As kidney disease progresses, the level of creatinine in the blood rises. The reason for taking the test and other symptoms associated has not been mentioned. Avoid using any supplements containing creatine. Increase high fibre diet. Avoid high protein diet like red meat. Diabetes, any autoimmune diseases if present should be treated effectively.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
