General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The methadone is a centrally acting opioid receptor modulator helps in many of the clinical conditions to control the pain aspects for the patient. The dosage varies as per the clinical symptoms, underlying disease, associated comorbid conditions such as weight, use of simultaneous other drugs which may alter the drug level of Methadone and so forth.

However, in general, 10 mg is usual conventional starting dose for a moderate pain management. As the pain intensity increases, the dosage may be increased as per the clinician preference with patient response.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
