Suggest Dosage For Morphine And Oxycodone

I have been on oxycodone 30mg 4times per day and morphine 30 mgs and 15 mgs 3 times per day for chronic pain. My PM doctor now tells me that he is required by the government to only give 200 mg. Per day and some meds count for 1.5 mgs My question is why would a doctor who went to so many years of education allow anyone to tell them what is best for their patient that they have treated for years.

Dear the drugs of codeine and morphine usually won't allowed in society even though they are used for pain management.

Because misuse percentage is high so we have to show to government that we are using it proper way.

Dosage of morphine may be started with 30/day as nd dose may increase slowly increased more than 30/day .

we can use maximum up 1200-1500mg/day.

the oxycodone Immediate release: Initial: 5–15 mg every 4–6 h as needed; dosing range: 5–20 mg per dose.
For severe chronic pain, administer on a regularly scheduled basis, every 4–6 h, at the lowest dose that will achieve adequate analgesia.


But they have more dependence so be careful while using it.
