Hi,
From given height (assuming its 5.3 ft, not inch) and weight, your BMI (
body mass index) is 25.7. By definition, it is falling under
overweight category, and not obesity (BMI of 30 or more). For your height, ideal weight is 48-65 kgs, so its only marginally high.
For weight reduction, diet modification and exercise both will help, although its effect depends on a many other factors like familial predisposition for obesity and our endocrine status.
Take a diet that is low in calories(cereals, snacks, bakes, energy drinks) and fat (oils, ghee, diary products) but adequate amount of protein (egg yolk, pulses, meet&poultry) and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Avoid interval snacks, candies, deserts and energy drinks as far as possible. Limit screening time to less than 2 hours a day You can take the advise from a dietician for a comprehensive advise.
Regular exercise for minimum 45 minutes(continues) a day is suggested. Also, keep a track on your blood pressure also, as this tend to increase with weight. Continue this for a minimum 3 months to see the trend as one month is too early to comment.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
