General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Cow milk is not recommended to be used in children under one year of age due to casein content and difficulty of the child to absorb it. It is also related to increased asthma in children that use it before age of one.

it is recommended to start with as natural and less processed food as possible. You can start with vegetables and fruit, making them pure and starting one thing in 4-5 days, after that you can add another thing.
If you start potato you should boil it, squash it and give it daily, one meal for 4-5 days, if the baby is tolerating it well add carrots, in 4-5 days add pumpkin... etc. Then you can do different combinations to give some variation. When a meal is settled you can try another meal with fruit, the same way.

Don't add sugar or salt, don't use honey, nuts, fish or sea products before age of one.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
