Suggest Formula Milk For A Breastfed Infant

Hi my son is 6 months old and till now he was on Breastfeeding, but now I feel my milk is not enough for him to grow. I tried Farex milk formula but it didn’t suit him as he vomited. So I tried similac isomil which is soy based milk but he is not having that as he didn’t like the taste. Which formula will be good for him.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can start weaning as the child is six months. But you have to continue breast feeding until two years. If your breast milk is not adequate, you can take domperidone tablets twice a day. It will increase breast milk production. If it’s not working you can try formula feeds like lactodex which is widely available.
