ok....i'm pretty nervous about this but here goes. I am 18 yrs old 5'5'' and 91 lbs. I feel that I am underweight but i'm not quite sure what i can do about it. Last summer i tried to gain weight and I went from 88 lbs to 100 lbs but as soon as i was back at school and went back to my regular diet I lost 13 lbs. since then i've regained 4 lbs. My target weight is 115 lbs....how do I get there in a way which is healthy?
Increasing weight would involve increasing your calorie intake and decreasing energy output. Decreasing energy output means decreasing energy loss by activity and formal exercise.
Increasing calorie intake would means using foods and meals high in calories.
This would involve: (1) increasing the portion sizes of your meals (2)increasing the frequency of your meals by using high calorie snacks between your meals (3)adding dressings/oils/butter to meals to further increase their calorie value
I hope this helps
