Suggest Herbal Remedy To Treat UTI In An Elderly Person

I am looking after an elderly lady whose last urine culture came back with Proteus Mirabilis. Her Doc only treated her with an antibiotic that was only #2 in the list of the sensitivities. I know that the #1 was gonna be given either IM or IV, and also because it would cost about $100. Per dose. So, i believe that was why he did not prescribe it. I asked to have her urine re tested one week after the antibiotic was finished, and then the report i got from the doctor s office that there were numerous organisms detected. I asked what they were, but the doctor said, Unlikely UTI, does not need to be treated . I questioned it and his response via his secretary was that, i should not be concerned because it is not infectious! How could he be sure? Why was there no final report? Now i am trying to get her daughter get the final report. What i really want to know, is there some herbal supplement that i can give her to help this? I had 3 other encounters with this kind of bacteria before and were treated with the one drug that was supposed to cure it ,but one month later it came back, that these other elderlies just succumbed to it. It was so nasty that i felt they just suffered to the end. Pls advise. Thank you so much.
