Hi,I am 31 year old lady .I have 1 kid.i am under weight .recently I check my weight was 38 kg.i am good eater .my diet also good.and everyday I drink 250 ml milk with b protein powder to increase my weight.but doesn t work.even last month I did full body check up & blood test .report was normal., can you pls guide me that what kind of shake or high calories food is good for me.so, I can increase my weight at least up to 43 or 45 kg.
To increase the weight you need high calorie diet containing fats as 1 gm of fats gives 9 calories of energy whereas 1gm of protein and carbohydrate give only 4 calories of energy. Hence you have to take moderate quantity of butter, ghee, oil and nuts such as cashewnuts. You can also take ice-cream.
