Suggest Home Remedies To Treat Itchy Skin With High AEC Count And Low MCH Counts
I have itchy skin due to some kind of allergy may be autopic dermititis and dry skin. I got my blood test done. I have AEC count of 650 which is more than the normal range of 40--440.,and MCH count of 26.34pg which is less than the normal range. To getrid of this skin allergy problem Can you please suggest allopathic medicine without steroids as well as home remidies?!
Atopic dermatitis is a chronic disease which may not be possible to be cured fully. What we can do is to control the disease by regular use of a moisturising cream (home remedy) and avoiding any triggering agents. Take antihistamines like Levocetirizine for itching when needed. There can be intermittent flare ups, which will definitely need topical steroids to control, for which you can follow up with a dermatologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
