Suggest Home Remedy For Swelling Between Buttocks

Hi, I have a slight swelling in my back, between the buttocks. It feels painful to touch. It does not look like a boil. I feel more pain near the bone. It feels uncomfortable to sit down. Can you please help me with a OTC for relief or any home remedy? I am visiting my primary care next week.

Thanks for posting your question on HCM!
Age, gender and duration of your problem not mentioned.

Apparently you are suffering from pilonidal sinus.

Pilonidal sinus is a small pit that occurs at the bottom of the tailbone or coccyx that can become infected and filled with pus.

Take some pain killers, use sitz bath (sit in a bath tub with warm saline water) for about 15 minutes every day. If the pain or swelling does not subside, consult a surgeon for proper treatment.
