I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure when I suffered a stroke in May. I also am type-2 diabetic, with high blood pressure. I have never smoked or drank, only drugs are all the meds I take now. Because the stroke affected my right (dominant) side, I have not been able to mentally re-connect it so that I can do any physical exercise. I have been suffering from a lot of swelling in my right leg; my left leg in normal. I have also developed a cough that only subsides if I am sitting up. Unfortunately I am on Medicaid, and my PCP doesn t seem to be concerned about anything. Is there something I can do, maybe over the counter or homeopathic that will reduce the swelling? Putting feet up only helps a little, and the swelling returns as soon as I am sitting or standing.
