Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 20 year old daughter is experiencing allergy-induced asthma. Her steroid inhaler is not doing much good, but Claritin-D 24 hour pills are relieving her symptoms, but only for about 9 hours. OTC instructions say to only take one pill every 24 hours. Would it be ok to take two tablets, about 12 hours apart?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the allergic asthma then it is better to treat this condition with "Montelukast with Levocetirizine" three times in day instead of increasing the dose of present drug, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
