Suggest Intermittent Pain In Stomach

Hi am Gaurav. I am having pain in my stomach from past 1 year. The pain is intermittent. I went to a doctor and did all the tests where they conformed that I have to undergo appendix surgery. Today I went to another hospital where they again did sonograpy test and gave antibiotics, They said there is no appendix. I am more confused now. They gave me Becelac PB tablets

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Since you have pain in abdomen for the last one year, one of the possibilities if appendicitis.
If the antibiotic is given the ultrasonography reports may not show the inflamed appendix hence get the repeat CT scan of the abdomen done when you have the pain next time which may show a definitive diagnosis so that the proper management can be done.
If there is appendicitis in next CT scan get operated otherwise wait and watch,
Complete the course of an antibiotic, metronidazole.
IF the problems still persist go for the tests of blood, urine and stool.
Colonoscopy and upper GI Endoscopy.
If all the reports are within normal limits then the problem may be IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome and get treated accordingly, get control over stress and anxiety.
