Fanconi Anemia it is a condition into which we can see the chromosomal breakages either on this or that chromosome. There is a set of genes what we called DNA repair genes. As per name these genes are responsible for the repairing our DNA and this mechanism get hampered and thus the patient suffers from not formation of Hematopoetic stem cells (HSC). These HSC actually are cells which convert into different type of blood cells like RBC, Platelets etc... Thus the condition eventually leads to suffer patient from severe anemia.

As I said earlier there are breakages on chromosomes these patients of FA also suffer from other ailments like kidney disorders, endocrinal disorders, congenital birth defects, mental retardation, etc...

Now coming towards the treatment side supplementation of androgens and hematopoetic growth factors are given into majority of these patients as a first line therapy and further suggested for bone marrow transplant... Bone marrow transplant can also be done in chennai however a Bone marrow donor matching to patient is the basic requirement... As you said have said that patient is admitted to government hospital. It say's that patient is not quite affording nor the govt hospital have adequate facility towards serving such patients in India.

I personally suggest that you can request Dr.P Srinivas of Dr. Achanta Lakshmipati Research Centre (ALRCA)for Ayurveda (CCRAS, Govt. of India), Chennai to visit and have a look towards the patient where he could suggest with some of the Ayurvedic Medicine for your patient...

From my side do start for decoction of Fresh "Bilva Patra"(Leaves that are used for lord shiva's puja) of 9 leaves three times daily... Belief and Consistency in the treatment will 100% help you. Rest is your own decision.

I hope this info is enough helpful to you...
