Two weeks after having a T-Dap Vaccine I have been experiencing extreme pain in my left arm, and moderate to sever in my right , Bicep, up to shoulder and sometimes in the elbow. I have seen a dr. for this and I was put on 15 mg of prednisone for a month. The diagnosis was said to be poly myalgia ruematica. I have most of my pain and it is very tuff to get undessed and showered because my arms are in extreme pain when I try to reach or twist my arms to get going in the morning> Once I take the prednisone and 800mg of advil it lessens the pain and by mid afternoon I have more range of motion and can do my work as a hairdresser. I did have an elevated C-reative protien in my blood work. I also had the pain in my upper legs for about 2-3 weeks but has gotten better thank my arms. I Am a Celiac and have been for over 18 years, and found after getting the vaccine that it did in fact of Gluten in it along with a whole bunch of things that I feel may have set this in motion in my muscles.I waiting to see a rhuematologist but don't have an appointment for another week and thought I try this site for some insite and ideas of what this truly might be. I am other wise a healthy 55 year old women who works full time and has lots of energy and drive. thank you for your insite.Judy
HI Thank for asking to HCM I can understand your problem if I would be your treating physician then I would surely treated you with the "Tab Amitriptyline once in day" because in my opinion this could be Trigeminal neuralgia if differential diagnosis taken into consideration, hope this information helps you, take care and have nice day.
