Suggest Mechanism Involved In In Cortisol Feedback Inhibition
What is the mechanism (receptors involved?) in cortisol feedback inhibtion of CRH and ACTH in the hypothalamus and anterior pituitary. I know that it does indeed cause the inhibition, but is it a direct effect of the cortisol binding a receptor or is there some chemoreceptor or something of the sort that just senses the high cortisol levels and causes a reduction in the CRH/ACTH pathways?
HI Thank for choosing HCM Actually it is the negative feed back system plays the great role in whole endocrine system and as long as the hypothalamus is concern negative feed back plays the great role, here it is not possible to discuss the whole chapter, it is the kind of academic discussion, but for your information, negative feedback is the function responsible for this, hope this helps
