Suggest Mediations For Low Back Pain

I have acute low back pain and right leg pain about 45 days. The pain was the worst in the morning. I had hard time to put my socks and shoes on. I am using 6xAcetaminophen 650mg/day. 2 for every 8 hours. but still can not stop all the pain. I would like to know. Does my problem now need surgery? and what is the best Pain Relief medicine (prescription drugs) available with the lowest Side effects. Also your suggestions? with thanks

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your health issues submitted in your query.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Your current health issues seem to be due to -?Sciatica which needs to be investigated to verify the exact cause for it.
For this I would suggest you to Consult your Family doctor / Primary physician and there after -Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon.

Hence Other causes-could be Sacroiliac arthritis / or Prolapse Intervertebral Disc with radiculitis etc as cited above- need to be ruled out,by verification with dermatologist.

Do's-
Consult with Orthopedic Surgeon who would investigate history and physically examine to fix the cause of Low back pain.
This would fix the cause of low back pain and right leg pain, amongst the above or other possibilities.
You need to treat it with Orthopedic Surgeon, which should be done on priority and urgently to avoid further complications.
CT Scan / Xray pelvis and lumbar spine- would be needed to fix the cause of this low back pain.
This would resolve the complaints of your's.

Constant follow-up with local family or specialist Orthopedic Surgeon-for long term would give you long remissions of such pains in time to come, which would depend on meticulous follow-up treatment of your health concerns.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
For early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.

Hello. Your symptoms do seem quite severe if the pain is not controlled with the analgesics you are currently taking. Though there are few more analgesics which can be tried like tramadol and NSAIDs, I would suggest getting an X ray of the lumbosacral spine and clinical evaluation by an Orthopaedic. We need to find the exact cause of the pain and analgesics are only a temporary solution. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Dr Geeta
