I'm 60 years old and have 4 stents does this qualify me for disability? I'm 5'1'' 127lbs heart dease runs in my family,my brother had a heart attack before the age of 50, grandmother passed with a heart attack,aunt had blockage of the leg arteries,had heart attack and passed, mother had same leg bolckage ended uphaving a stroke. I was seeing my doctor every 6 months until last year when he said I could see him in a year,took me off all my meds except for toporal once a day. I was going to make an appointment for my yearly check-up but before I couls do that I had lost my job,so no insurance.I have about 3 days left of my medicine then I don't know what to do. I 'll be taking low dose asprin i guess
After cardiac Stenting Aspirin is continued lifelong and also other medicine like Atorvastatin 40 mg. Also if you had heart attack then metoprolol is also given. Also heart is little weak, working less than 40 %, then tab ramipril and spironolactone is also given. These medications should not be stopped. you should discuss all these issues with your physician.
